With all the commotion, fun, excitement, and parties that we had a Gatorun, how could we forget to mention and congratulate team "L&H" for their impresive win. If you happened to be riding along the "mean & dangerous" streets of South Florida on May 17th and 18th, then you definitely saw the first Gatorun winner drive by you. I mean, how could you have not seen them ride by you in a 300K Phantom that will definatley get you looks, but strap on some pink and baby blue decals and you got a gatorun winner. With their average speed of 51.4 MPH just short of the winning speed of 52.5MPH throughout the entire drive, man o man did they just spank the competition. Gatorun kicked off with an amazing night and officially started its engine. The horsepower began to be felt at GRASS Restaurant and Lounge in Miami’s Design District while participants made their presence felt with a star arrival and party. The sounds of high end & exotic car engines joined Dj ADO NINO and Dj REY while they spun the beats for the hundreds of attendees.
Throughout 2 nights and 2 days, Gatorun brought music, fashion, social and auto industry together. With official sponsor companies like 6 Degrees Magazine, Vibrel, Rock Star Energy Drink, Rennsport-One and 360 Forged Wheels among others, Gatorun made a strong presence within media, people, and fans. That and also having 30 decorated cars like Porsches, Ferraris, BMW’s and Lamborghinis driving through South Florida competing in a speed restricted challenge for the privilege and recognition of being Gatoruns 1st place winner.
Joining Gatorun Spring 2008 and attending the opening night celebration were Professional Race Car Drivers NELSON PHILIPPE, RICHARD PHILIPPE and CRISTIANO PIQUET. Also joining in the fun at the Gatorun opening celebration was Music Group Mr. MOTTO.
As the morning started on May 17th, 2008 Miami Beach was awaked by the sound and sights of engines, music, people, and excitement of Gatorun. High-end & exotic vehicles participating in a non-race driving competition through the streets and highways of Miami Beach, Naples and Palm Beach. Starting out at the famous NIKKI BEACH in South Beach and soon after headed for a quick stop in Palm Beach, the action quickly changed coasts and headed towards Naples. Sunday May 18th headed back to South Beach where the excitement continued. As all cars completed the touring challenge they were greeted and welcomed for an unforgettable reception, party and awards presentation and joined the world renowned “Amazing Sundays” at NIKKI BEACH.
